Velvet Blum is a curated social network with no algorithm and no ads. You build your own feed, slowly and deliberately, by choosing the people whose work you want to read. When you want to wander, you can lens through someone else's network and see the world through their eyes.
The thesis — IV chapters
Slow follow
No infinite-scroll incentives. Posts surface chronologically from the people you've chosen. The feed ends. You leave.
End-to-end encrypted DMs
Direct messages are sealed on your device with a key only you hold. The server stores ciphertext — we can't read your conversations, and neither can anyone else.
Built to outlast
No venture incentives, no dark patterns. A small piece of software that minds its manners and stays out of your way.
