A curated network

EST. MMXXVI

Velvet Blum.

A social network with no algorithm and no ads. You curate your own network — slowly, deliberately. When you want to wander, lens through someone else's to see the world through their eyes.

Three principles: human-paced. Reader-first. Recommendation by trust, not by feed.

The thesis — IV chapters
I.

The Lens

Lens through a curator's network read-only. See what they see. Adopt accounts you like, leave the rest. The lens never overrides your feed — it stands beside it.

II.

Slow follow

No infinite scroll incentives. Posts surface chronologically from the people you've chosen. The feed ends. You leave.

III.

End-to-end encrypted DMs

Direct messages are sealed on your device with a key only you hold. The server stores ciphertext — we can't read your conversations, and neither can anyone else.

IV.

Built to outlast

No venture incentives, no dark patterns. A small piece of software that minds its manners and stays out of your way.
